ALEX is a support group for special needs homeschoolers. We will be meeting 1-2 times a month in the Winston-Salem area combining both play for the children and strategy sharing for the parents. The special needs individual can be parent or child.

Created by a Cherokee/Catawba home schooling mother of 3, NAHE headquarters is in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. We are currently seeking people begin chapters of NAHE across the United States.

North Carolina has many unschooling families, traveling this road in their own way at their own pace. There are many wonderful people with years of collected wisdom out there. Connecting, supporting and helping unschoolers to develop lasting friendships and a sense of community is the purpose of this web site.

NCHE has supported NC homeschoolers since 1984. We sponsor an annual conference, leadership training, a legislative watch, a statewide graduation ceremony, a bimonthly magazine and much more.

Teen Homeschoolers of Raleigh
An informal and friendly secular group for families with children in high school and middle school. Teen activities such as laser tag, movie outings, rock climbing, Casino Night and Halloween parties - and weekly all ages gatherings for game days, park days, lunch outings, ice skating, hiking, picnics &c. Also "Mom's Nights Out".
